Job summary

The PGA TOUR, Inc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop platforms across Golf Technologies, including competitions, stats, and data delivery. You’ll translate ambiguous needs into clear plans, own multi‑month projects, and weigh delivery speed, cost, and security.

You will use AI tools daily to accelerate delivery and build smarter solutions. You’ll mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with product, UX, and support teams to build reliable, scalable software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of work experience in modern software development practices.
• Minimum 7 years reviewing product and/or business requirements and providing technical feedback.
• Minimum 6 years delivering quantifiable business results.
• Designs and ships complex features with strong system design skills.
• Experience with AWS cloud development and AI/ML-driven features.

Responsibilities

• Owns multi-month projects with real ambiguity; impact is visible to teams and stakeholders.
• Contributes to technical decisions in design reviews as a senior resource.
• Leverages AI tools daily to accelerate development and quality.
• Coaches mid-level engineers and mentors senior associates.
• Represents the team in cross-functional discussions.
• Contributes to building team culture and norms.
• Writes proposals and design docs; presents to engineering and product partners.
• Builds trust with non-engineering stakeholders; surfaces risks honestly.
• Inputs for architectural review of PGA TOUR digital roadmap.
• Assesses technical feasibility of backlog items.
• Collaborates with PM to define product scope and objectives.
• Partners with vendors on UX and implementation of digital products.
• Supports troubleshooting with operations staff.
• Performs ongoing system configurations to support platforms.
• Takes on special projects as assigned.
