Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the United States to help build Hatch, our flagship IT lifecycle platform. You will own features end-to-end, design full-stack solutions, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality.

You will mentor teammates, collaborate with stakeholders, help set estimates, and contribute to the engineering roadmap. The role sits within a supportive team focused on innovation and learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping software, with 7+ years preferred.
• Fluency with modern AI development tools and coding agents; able to verify, test, and own everything shipped.
• Stack-agnostic adaptability; able to pick up new languages and frameworks quickly (Elixir and Phoenix are current stack).
• Strong foundation in software design, architecture, testing, CI, code review, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Own features and problems end to end, from understanding user need through design, delivery, and support.
• Design and build full-stack solutions for internal and public web applications, making pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Work at high leverage with AI tools and agents, then review, test, and harden everything you ship.
• Engage across the full development life cycle: analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support.
• Lead code reviews and mentor other engineers, raising the bar on quality.
