Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build Hatch, our flagship platform. You will own end-to-end features, design, build, and ship full-stack solutions using Elixir and Phoenix, and collaborate with teams to apply AI tools.

You will mentor engineers, lead reviews, and help set roadmaps, balancing technical risk with business goals, with opportunities to influence architecture and tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping software.
• Product-minded approach from user to outcome.
• Stack-agnostic; able to learn new languages quickly.
• Fluent with modern AI development tools and coding agents.
• Strong foundation in software design, architecture, testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from understanding user needs to delivery and support.
• Design and build full-stack solutions for internal and public web apps.
• Work with AI tools and agents to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
• Lead code reviews and mentor other engineers to raise quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define estimates, milestones, and roadmap.
