Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Experience leading teams building web apps, ideally in Elixir/Phoenix or similar stacks.
• Strong practices in testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
• Fluency with AI development tools and a clear point of view on their impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers building Hatch and Unity.
• Partner with product management and business stakeholders to translate requirements into plans.
• Own delivery timelines and ensure high-quality software ships on schedule.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support career development.
• Participate in hiring: sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding engineers.
• Foster a healthy team culture built on collaboration and accountability.
• Guide technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Remove obstacles and shield the team from distractions.
• Refine development processes and AI-assisted workflows for agility and predictability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, customer success, and other teams.
