Job summary

BETA Technologies in Vermont is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Digital Operations to partner with business teams, design and build software solutions, and deploy end-to-end workflows. You will work on full‑stack web applications, internal tools, and APIs, leveraging AI/LLMs to accelerate delivery while translating complex requirements into practical designs.

On‑site collaboration is expected at times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in modern full‑stack development (React/TypeScript and Python or Node.js).
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business teams to identify and solve operational problems.
• Design, develop, and deploy full‑stack web apps and APIs.
• Leverage AI and LLMs to accelerate development.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs.
• Assess feasibility and communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.
