Job summary

BETA Technologies seeks a Senior Software Engineer to embed with business teams, design and build full-stack web applications, internal tools, and APIs. You will leverage AI and LLM capabilities to accelerate development and deliver trustworthy software in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires 5 years of experience, React/TypeScript and Python or Node.js, and strong communication with non-technical stakeholders. On-site collaboration and ownership of complex challenges are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in modern full-stack development (React/TypeScript and Python or Node.js).
• Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business teams across BETA to identify and solve operational problems.
• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications, tools, and APIs addressing real needs.
• Leverage AI and LLM tech to accelerate development and build intelligent workflows.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs and working solutions.
• Contribute to intake and prioritization and maintain technical documentation for adoption.
