Job summary

Virtuous is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the CRM+ platform, powering fundraising and donor engagement for leading nonprofits. You will work primarily in C# and Vue within an Azure and SQL Server environment, partnering with product and design to ship features that impact donor relationships and mission delivery.

You will contribute to AI-driven features on the latest .NET/Vue stack and collaborate with a high-growth SaaS team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep C#/.NET
• 3+ years of Vue experience; React/Angular acceptable
• Strong Azure production systems experience
• SQL Server schema design, tuning, and performance optimization
• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development using Claude Code
• Customer-first, product-minded engineering approach
• Experience with CRM or data-intensive platforms is a plus
• Observability and testing tools experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the CRM+ platform using C#, .NET, and SQL Server
• Architect and operate Azure services with scalability and cost awareness
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape requirements with a customer-first perspective
• Use AI tools (Claude Code) for prototyping, generating code, testing, and faster delivery
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering practices
• Influence QA, CI/CD, and product architecture best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues with urgency and ownership
• Contribute to technical strategy and evolving architecture as the platform scales
