Job summary

Virtuous is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the CRM+ platform that powers fundraising and donor engagement for leading nonprofits. You’ll work primarily in C# and Vue within an Azure and SQL Server environment, partnering with product, design, and other engineers to deliver features with impact.

Virtuous CRM+ is built on the latest .NET and Vue, with AI-first features in development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with deep C#/.NET experience.
• 3+ years of Vue; React or Angular experience is a plus.
• Strong experience building and operating production systems on Azure.
• Solid experience with SQL Server: schema design and performance tuning.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted development with Claude Code.
• A customer-first, product-minded approach to engineering.
• Experience with CRM or data-intensive platforms is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the CRM+ platform using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
• Architect and operate services on Azure for scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape requirements with a customer-first lens.
• Use Claude Code and AI tools for prototyping, coding, testing, and faster delivery.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor and pair program engineers to raise engineering standards.
• Influence QA, CI/CD, and product-architecture patterns.
• Troubleshoot production issues with urgency and ownership.
• Contribute to technical strategy as the platform scales.
