Job summary

Virtuous is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join the Raise team, shaping the fundraising platform used by thousands of nonprofits. You will own features end-to-end, from donor-facing UI to backend integrations, with a focus on AI-assisted development and scalable architecture.

You’ll collaborate with Product and Design to translate donor needs into technical solutions, review AI-generated code for correctness, and ensure performance and reliability in a 50/50 backend/frontend

Qualifications

• 6+ years building modern web applications.
• Proficiency with C# and APIs; REST/GraphQL.
• JavaScript/TypeScript with Vue/React/Svelte.
• Hands-on AI coding agents in daily workflow with strong pre-AI foundation.
• Experience with Azure and IaC tooling (Terraform, Terragrunt).
• Sophisticated handling of relational databases and performance tuning.
• DevOps practices: CI/CD, containers, monitoring.
• Observability with DataDog and proactive debugging.
• UI craftsmanship for donor-facing experiences.
• Strong communication and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end in Raise; from forms to analytics.
• Build agentic experiences inside Raise for nonprofits and donors.
• Design, build, and ship new full-stack features.
• Own performance, scalability, and reliability; instrument systems.
• Review AI-generated code with architectural judgment.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate needs into solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Write clean, testable frontend and backend code.
• Identify and resolve customer bugs for a world-class product.
• Support a culture of experimentation and continuous delivery.
