Job summary

Virtuous in Phoenix seeks a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale our CRM+ platform. You’ll primarily work in C# and Vue within Azure and SQL Server, partnering with product, design, and other engineers to ship features that connect nonprofits with their donors.

This hands-on role emphasizes AI-forward thinking, ownership from design to deployment, and mentoring teammates. You’ll influence product direction, collaborate across squads, and contribute to a fast-growing SaaS company

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in C#/.NET.
• 3+ years of Vue experience; React or Angular acceptable.
• Strong experience building and operating production systems on Azure.
• Solid experience with SQL Server—schema design, query optimization, performance tuning.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted development; experience using Claude Code.
• Customer-first, product-minded engineering approach; asking how features could be better.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the CRM+ platform using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
• Architect and operate services on Azure with scalability, reliability, and cost in mind.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape requirements with a customer-first perspective.
• Use AI tools (Claude Code) in prototyping, code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, and delivery.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor and pair program to raise engineering practices across the team.
• Influence best practices for QA, CI/CD, and product architecture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency and ownership.
• Contribute to technical strategy and evolving architecture as the platform scales.
