Job summary

Invoca is seeking Senior and Staff engineers to join a rapidly evolving AI-powered development environment. You’ll own a critical stage of the engineering lifecycle in your domain, driving reliability, security, data quality, and delivery, with AI as a first-class collaborator.

In this role you’ll define what 'great' looks like, build shared tooling, and translate technical decisions into business outcomes. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and business to deliver measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering (Senior) or 8+ years (Staff) with measurable production impact.
• Experience building systems, tools, or practices adopted broadly for speed, quality, or safety.
• Curiosity about AI and agentic workflows; track record applying new tools.
• Strong technical judgment with preference for simplicity and adoption.
• Ability to connect technical work to business outcomes and communicate that connection.
• Experience partnering across engineering, product, and business functions.
• High ownership mindset, curiosity, and urgency in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end accountability for a critical stage of Invoca's engineering lifecycle in your domain.
• Define what 'great' looks like in your domain and set the bar.
• Identify where AI and agentic workflows can improve your domain (e.g., incident detection, test generation, security review, data pipelines, self-healing deployments).
• Establish safe, observable, auditable ways to bring AI into workflows and help teams adopt them.
• Build shared practices, tooling, or platforms that teams can adopt.
• Treat domain as a product with internal users and define adoption goals.
• Translate technical decisions into business metrics (velocity, cost, risk, trust, revenue).
• Partner with leadership to prioritize work based on measurable impact.
