Job summary

Fortinet in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Agent Security) to design and implement security controls for agentic AI systems, including agents, tools, and agent-to-agent interactions.

You will build AI security solutions for enterprise customers, work cross-functionally with PM and QA teams, and develop pre-sales and post-sales tools to support deployments, troubleshooting, and integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of backend development experience, including cloud-native infrastructure, networking, and building reliable services at scale.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python or Go, or in a systems language such as Rust or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Build AI security solutions for enterprise customers.
• Design and implement security controls for agentic AI systems, including agents, tools, and agent-to-agent interactions.
• Work cross-functionally with PM and QA teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Develop pre-sales and post-sales tools and environments to support customer evaluations, deployments, troubleshooting, and integration.
• Research emerging technologies and security trends to identify new opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
