Fortinet is seeking a Principal AI Security Engineer to join our Corporate Information Security team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will guide internal teams on AI security, review code, perform AI-focused red team assessments, and integrate security into CI/CD for AI products.

You will perform threat modeling for AI-driven solutions, develop mitigation strategies, and help design guardrails for LLM interactions while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience in information security, product security, application security, AI/ML or data science fields.

Responsibilities

• Serve as AI security SME and guide internal teams.
• Conduct code reviews and AI Red Teaming assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Perform threat modeling for AI products (chatbots, MCPs, autonomous agents).
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD workflows and automate testing.
