Zusammenfassung

Alpaca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the agent-facing developer platform and evolve MCP-based servers, tools, and APIs. You’ll architect to accelerate integrators and partners, then ship the first version yourself.

This role focuses on Python/TypeScript with Go as a primary, hands-on contributor driving platform reliability and collaboration with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Platform Engineering.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production systems used by developers.
• Shipped a developer-facing API, SDK, or platform as a primary contributor.
• Familiarity with MCP architecture and evolving standards for connectors, plugins, or skills.
• Strong API design, with clear schemas and reliable responses for developers.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript; willingness to work primarily in Go.

Aufgaben

• Design and build Alpaca’s agent-facing developer platform: MCP servers, tools, skills, and APIs.
• Evolve the platform as MCP and connector standards change.
• Build new APIs to expose trading/account capabilities to apps and agents.
• Define components the platform renders to accelerate app development.
• Own production reliability and mentor engineers in this area.
