About the team + role

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is dedicated to safeguarding our organization by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust identity security solutions. Our mission is to enhance system security, streamline user access, and ensure compliance through innovative IAM frameworks, authentication protocols, and industry best practices. By collaborating closely with security and engineering teams, we strive to create a seamless and secure access experience that supports our organization’s growth and resilience.

  • Develop and Implement IAM Solutions: Design, implement and deploy Access Management solution, ensuring secure authentication and authorization
  • Automate IAM Processes: Build automation for user provisioning, access reviews, and lifecycle management using Go and scripting
  • Monitor and Enhance Security: enforce least-privilege policies, and conduct security audits to improve identity security.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain IAM compliance with industry standards

Collaborate with Teams: Work with security and development teams to integrate IAM solutions to production systems

What you’ll do
  • Build scalable systems and components, making the right tradeoffs to account for stability and long-term maintainability.
  • Design, write, test, and release critical technical solutions with high engineering rigor.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams and deliver large-scope technical quality projects
  • Mentor junior developers on the team and lead project of large complexity
  • Find opportunities to improve system performance, team efficiency, and minimize risks
What you bring
  • 5+ years of software development experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • 3+ years experience writing low latency, large scale distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Go or Python, with exceptional technical grasp with problem-solving and production debugging skills.
  • Strong ownership and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and leading the team technically on new initiatives and system improvement.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$187,000 - $220,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$165,000 - $194,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$146,000 - $172,000 USD
