Senior Software Engineer, Omni-Channel/Shopify

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer excited about building e-commerce systems that fulfill our customers’ needs and designing web applications that are enjoyable to use. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in web development, especially in the e-commerce domain, with strong experience in Typescript for backend and HTML/JavaScript for front-end development. Experience with Shopify is highly advantageous.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and improve cloud-native platforms by adding features critical to our customer experience. The successful candidate will have the technical ability to make sound technology choices through collaboration with an empowered team. Success will be measured by the team’s effective delivery of services. We seek candidates passionate about delivering excellent experiences within our growing engineering team.

This is a Remote position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven web development experience in the e-commerce sector
• Experience with Shopify is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Typescript for backend development
• Strong skills in HTML and JavaScript for front-end development
• Experience customizing UI for e-commerce portals
• Ability to interface web e-commerce with retail sales channels
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Build, deploy, and maintain your own code
• Implement and monitor analytics to ensure business process correctness
• Contribute to multiple team-wide business and technical objectives
• Participate in cross-functional projects in an agile environment
• Scope, decompose, and organize projects for teammates
• Delegate tasks and coordinate team efforts to complete projects with minimal oversight
• Generate accurate time estimates for project planning
• Support standard development practices, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns, and TDD
• Customize and maintain the e-commerce shopping and checkout experience
• Implement geo-restricted promotions such as coupons and discounts
• Build precise data synchronization between e-commerce and source systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the omni-channel experience

Compensation:

• Remote US Range: $175,000 - $225,000, based on market and candidate experience
