Job summary

Netris is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the design and implementation of the controller component of our network automation platform. You will shape the backend, design scalable services, and lead with a mindset of reliability and security.

Join a fast-growing team building the networking foundation behind AI clouds, with a focus on performance, distributed systems, and modern tech stacks (Node.js, Golang, gRPC, databases). This is a hands-on role with mentorship and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior role.
• Strong experience with Node.js and Golang in production systems.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end backend architecture, from data models to APIs and internal services.
• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend services.
• Implement and maintain REST APIs (Node.js) and gRPC APIs (Golang).
• Collaborate closely with network engineers, product and leadership teams.
• Review code, set engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers as the team grows.
• Take ownership of performance, reliability, and security of the controller.

We are looking for a senior engineer who can own the design and implementation of the controller component of our network automation platform.

What you’ll do

• Own the end-to-end backend architecture, from data models to APIs and internal services
• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend services
• Implement and maintain:
  • REST APIs (Node.js)
  • gRPC APIs (Golang)
• Collaborate closely with:
  • Network engineers
  • Product and leadership teams
• Review code, set engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers as the team grows
• Take ownership of performance, reliability, and security of the controller

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior role
• Strong experience with Node.js and Golang in production systems
• Hands-on experience designing and operating distributed systems
• Experience creating backends serving a large number of online requests.
• Solid experience of working with:
