Tower Loan of Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Development Manager to lead multiple software development teams, modernize the loan management system, and ensure alignment with business goals. You will coach Team Leads, coordinate project plans, and drive integration across architecture standards and modern technologies.

The role emphasizes secure development, regulatory compliance, and release readiness, while coordinating across Product, QA, and IT to deliver reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Eight or more years of professional software development or software engineering experience preferred.
• Three or more years of experience managing software development teams, preferably including technical Team Leads.
• Extensive experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server, APIs, distributed systems, and software engineering reviews required.
• Experience with microservices, Apache Kafka, Redis, domain-driven design, and enterprise system integrations strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software release management preferred.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar software development management tools preferred.
• Experience in consumer lending, financial services, payments, or other regulated industries beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development initiatives, including modernization of Tower Loan's loan management system, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and business objectives.
• Manage and develop technical Team Leads, providing coaching and performance feedback to support growth.
• Oversee engineering project plans, resource allocation, timelines, and risk management.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Business Analysts to translate requirements into actionable plans.
• Establish architecture standards, system designs, and integration requirements across teams.
• Provide technical oversight through design reviews and code quality assessments.
• Guide adoption of modern technologies and practices, including C#, .NET, APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure secure development practices, data protection, regulatory considerations, and system audit capabilities.
• Oversee CI/CD, automated testing, release readiness, and documentation quality.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams to maintain data accuracy and system reliability.
• Support migration from legacy apps to modern platforms and plan implementation readiness.
• Investigate and resolve significant technical issues and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor engineering performance on timelines, quality, defects, and reliability.
• Participate in staffing, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
• Explore opportunities in emerging technologies, including AI, with appropriate controls.
• Facilitate communication among teams, QA, PM, IT, and external partners.
• Provide regular updates to CTO and stakeholders on progress and priorities.
• Maintain technical documentation and architecture decisions for long-term reliability.
