Job summary

PENTAX Medical is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development in Montvale, NJ. This hands-on leader will drive architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise software in a regulated medical device environment, mentoring multiple software teams and partnering with Product Management, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software development, with architecture, design, and coding of large, complex software; 12+ years preferred.
• 6+ years in software engineering management with direct reports (5+ developers).
• Experience in FDA-regulated medical device or healthcare R&D, IEC 62304, and related standards (ISO 13485, EU MDR).
• Advanced hands-on experience with C#, WPF, C/C++, .NET, SQL and Windows software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for complex software products and large programs.
• Involve in architecture, design reviews, coding, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Drive end-to-end SDLC, from requirements through release and support.
• Lead multiple development teams and concurrent programs across cross-functional teams.
• Build engineering capability and drive disciplined delivery and architecture decisions.
