Job summary

SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned company seeking a Senior Software Developer to support government-owned and contractor-developed software aboard unmanned surface vessels (USVs). An Interim Secret Clearance and US citizenship are required to access classified information and work on mission-critical platforms in Maryland.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of software development experience with Java, Rust, C++, Python, Docker, CI/CD, and Linux, plus agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required.
• Experience with JAVA, Rust, C++, Python and modern software stacks.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate in agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement secure, scalable software architectures and integrate vendor platforms, payloads, and sensors for hardware integration.
• Collaborate with the H62 Mission Autonomy Lead to drive agile cycles and translate requirements into technical specs.
• Establish baselines and prioritize high-impact development tasks.
