Job summary

KBR is seeking a Principal Software Asset Administrator to drive end-to-end Software Asset Management with governance, data accuracy, and cost optimization. You will partner with IT, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to ensure licensing compliance in a regulated government contracting environment.

The role requires leadership of SAM analysts, mastery of ServiceNow SAM Pro, and a track record of improving asset tracking and audit readiness in a global enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; US citizenship required.
• Extensive experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or software licensing.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring SAM analysts or IT asset management professionals in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end software asset lifecycle including request intake, procurement coordination, deployment, utilization tracking, renewal planning, reclamation and retirement.
• Lead SAM operations, oversee lifecycle activities, and partner with IT, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to ensure compliance and cost control.
• Serve as functional owner for ServiceNow SAM Pro and Contract Management; ensure data quality across entitlements, contracts, and discovery data.
• Identify and mitigate licensing/compliance risks; support audit readiness and contract obligations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable automation, CMDB alignment, and reporting.
