Job summary

General Dynamics Corporation is seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist for the Offutt AFB, NE area. The role supports software inventory, entitlement reconciliation, and lifecycle management within DoD IT environments, including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and TS-C collateral.

Responsibilities include data entry in SAM/Flexera, cost optimization analysis, and audit reporting to stakeholders. Requires Top Secret/TS/SCI eligibility and strong IT skills; 40-hour weeks onsite.

Qualifications

• 8+ years total and 4+ years of related logistics work experience.
• BA/BS - may substitute additional years of experience.
• ITIL Foundations 4 Certificate within 9 months.
• Security Clearance Top Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience with ServiceNow SAM module and/or Flexera database.
• Experience with Enterprise Licensing Agreements and EULAs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and reconcile software inventory records across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and Top Secret-Collateral environments.
• Understand the complete software asset lifecycle.
• Assist Procurement by inputting entitlement data in ServiceNow SAM and/or Flexera; ensure records reflect receipts.
• Analyze software usage data, spending trends, and vendor roadmaps to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Audit software inventories to ensure compliance of entitlements.
• Compile presentations of audit findings for Asset Management Lead and stakeholders.
• Interact professionally with customers, peers, suppliers, and supervisors.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
