Job summary

One Call in the United States is seeking a Senior/Principal Software Engineer to provide architectural depth and hands-on leadership in a legacy-heavy environment undergoing modernization. This high-impact role guides engineers across .NET, SQL Server, WinForms/Web Forms, and VB.NET, with modern .NET Core, REST APIs, Azure DevOps, and front-end tech.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building enterprise .NET applications in C# and VB.NET.
• Experience modernizing large legacy .NET codebases.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and observability.
• Experience in healthcare/workers' compensation or regulated domains.
• Exposure to distributed queues and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural depth and design leadership across multiple apps.
• Guide hands-on development across .NET, SQL, and front-end stacks.
• Drive modernization patterns, API boundaries, and refactors.
• Champion engineering excellence: testing, CI/CD, and instrumentation.
• Mentor engineers and promote safe, scalable AI usage.
