Qualifications

• 10+ years architecting and building mission-critical, high-performance web apps
• 3+ years in an Architect role
• Strong OO design and coding skills
• Experience with multi-tier web app architecture
• Experience with Java/J2EE tech stack (Servlets, JSP, JMS) and SOA
• Experience with security protocols for integration (SSL, WSS)
• Experience with middleware, messaging, caching, services
• Experience with Agile environments
• Legacy and modern system integration experience

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical architecture of existing software solutions and act as an architectural authority
• Advise on and decide overall technical direction of products
• Develop strategy for application development and define supporting infrastructure
• Research and estimate third-party or complex integrations
• Assist in production issue resolutions with rapid assessment and recommendations
• Provide technical guidance to staff and other groups
• Lead development of best-in-class processes and engineering practices
• Oversee design/code reviews to ensure conformance to architecture
• Drive architectural decisions and future-tech adoption
• Support performance, scalability, and reliability testing across peer orgs
• Research emerging technologies to improve standards
