Job summary

Trintech seeks an experienced Software Architect to guide architectural direction for its suite of products. You will define development strategy, select technical infrastructure, and evaluate third-party integrations to ensure scalable, reliable systems.

The role requires strong OO design, Java/J2EE expertise (Hibernate, Spring) and experience with multi-tier web architectures in Agile environments. Hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years architecting and building high-performance web apps.
• Minimum 3 years in an Architect role.
• Strong object-oriented design and multi-tier web architecture.
• Experience with middleware for messaging, caching, services.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE with Hibernate/Spring.
• Knowledge of security protocols for integration (SSL, WS-Security).
• Experience in Agile environments and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical architecture and act as architectural authority.
• Advise on overall technical direction of products.
• Develop strategy for application development and infra.
• Evaluate third-party integrations and complex systems.
• Assist production incidents with rapid assessment and solutions.
• Provide guidance to technical staff and other groups.
• Lead development processes and engineering practices.
• Evaluate new tech decisions including buy vs build.
• Ensure code/design aligns with architecture strategy.
• Drive architectural decisions and improvements.
• Support performance, scalability, and reliability testing.
