Job summary

Early Warning is seeking an experienced technical leader to set engineering standards across teams. This hands-on role focuses on architecture, cloud deployment, and scalable product design, partnering with product management to align roadmaps with technical capabilities.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD, containerization, and automated testing, and work closely with customers to improve our payment and risk platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience designing and developing complex software, with 8+ years in FinTech.
• 1–2 years of cloud app solutions using containerization, CI/CD, automated testing and security guidelines.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Effective communicator with strong public speaking skills across all levels.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Lean, and DevOps practices.
• Proven track record designing and building complex end-to-end systems (full stack).
• Hands-on experience with Java, microservices, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product management to craft product strategy and align technology roadmaps.
• Be a thought leader and coach for the team, mentoring engineers.
• Own technical design and architecture for product and services.
• Create and conduct presentations for groups of varying sizes.
• Work with customers to understand needs and drive product improvements.
• Collaborate to shape engineering approaches and share knowledge.
• Develop a departmental technical vision for future growth.
• Design/engineer product/app-service solutions with cloud, CI/CD, and automated testing.
