Job summary

Gaia seeks a Social Media Manager to join our Boulder, CO team. You will strategize and execute content across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, collaborate with our in-house creative team, and drive organic growth with a strong emphasis on storytelling and brand voice.

The role demands leadership of direct reports, a passion for Gaia content, and the ability to work on-site at our campus in Louisville, CO. US citizenship or work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising, or related field (plus).
• 3-4 years of social media marketing experience at a medium to large company with significant social presence (ideally 1+ million).
• 2+ years of experience managing direct employee(s).
• Highly creative with strong writing, editorial, and storytelling skills.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in organic social media marketing.
• Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SproutSocial).
• Video-editing experience greatly improves consideration.
• Strong affinity for Gaia content is a prerequisite to applying.
• Gaia member/subscriber strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work full-time in our office in Louisville, Colorado.
• US citizenship or an existing work visa is required.

Responsibilities

• Strategize, manage, and execute content marketing across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Collaborate with in-house creative services team to produce organic content (videos, memes, etc.) that drives reach and revenue.
• Ideate novel ways to market Gaia content on social platforms based on trends and platform features.
• Monitor macro trends, develop playbooks, and scale growth.
• Conduct post-performance analysis and reports for executive review on reach, engagement, revenue, and overall campaign performance.
• Serve as an internal advocate for organic social media and define brand voice and posting standards.
