Gaia seeks a Social Media Manager to lead content strategy and execution across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube from our Boulder, Colorado location. You will oversee content creation with our in-house team, drive organic growth, and report on performance to executives.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in social media for large brands, strong writing skills, and a track record of managing people. The role requires on-site work at our Louisville campus and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
• 3-4 years experience in social media marketing for a medium to large company with significant social presence (ideally 1+ million followers).
• 2+ years of experience managing direct employee(s).

Responsibilities

We are looking for this role to strategize and execute primarily on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube. This role will cover both strategic and executional aspects as well as managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Strategize, manage, and execute content marketing efforts across social media channels, specifically Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
• Work with our in-house creative services team and video editor to create organic content in the form of new release content, videos, meme-formatted images,etc. that drive organic reach and ad revenue on social platforms
• Ideate novel ways to market Gaia content on social media platforms based on shifting user trends and new platform functionalities
• Monitoring macro trends within the social media landscape, developing playbooks and new ways to scale growth
• Conduct post-performance analysis and reports for use at executive level on performance of reach, engagement, revenue and overall performance of social media campaigns across the individual platforms.
• Be an internal advocate and leader for organic social media within the company — why we do things the way we do, what we post and what we don’t, and the brand voice we seek to embody.

• US citizenship or US residency with an existing work permit is required.
• Must be available to work on our campus in Louisville, CO. This is not a remote role.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising, or related field is a plus
• 3-4 years experience in social media marketing for a medium to large company with significant social presence (ideally with a social following of 1+ million)
• 2+ years of experience managing direct employee(s)
• Highly creative, strong writing, editorial, and storytelling skills
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in organic social media marketing
• Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SproutSocial)
• Video-editing experience greatly improves consideration
• Strong affinity for Gaia content is a prerequisite to applying.
• Gaia member/subscriber strongly preferred
• Must be able to work full-time in our office in Louisville, Colorado
• US citizenship or an existing work visa is required

Compensation

• Range: $70000 - $100000 (USD)
