Job summary

Gaia seeks a Social Media Manager to join our Boulder, CO team. You will strategize and execute content across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, collaborate with our in-house creative team, and drive organic growth with a strong emphasis on storytelling and brand voice.

The role demands leadership of direct reports, a passion for Gaia content, and the ability to work on-site at our campus in Louisville, CO. US citizenship or work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising, or related field (plus).
• 3-4 years of social media marketing experience at a medium to large company with significant social presence (ideally 1+ million).
• 2+ years of experience managing direct employee(s).
• Highly creative with strong writing, editorial, and storytelling skills.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in organic social media marketing.
• Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SproutSocial).
• Video-editing experience greatly improves consideration.
• Strong affinity for Gaia content is a prerequisite to applying.
• Gaia member/subscriber strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work full-time in our office in Louisville, Colorado.
• US citizenship or an existing work visa is required.

Gaia seeks to expand the talent of its marketing team by hiring a Social Media Manager in Boulder, Colorado. We are a growing, publicly traded company that offers a fast paced, entrepreneurial working environment with a strong, established team of experienced marketing professionals.

We’re looking for someone obsessed with content creation and strategy that draws millions of eyes and stops the scroll. You are self‑motivated, ambitious, and bring a great attitude. We are looking for this role to strategize and execute primarily on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube. This role will cover both strategic and executional aspects as well as managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Strategize, manage, and execute content marketing efforts across social media channels, specifically Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
• Work with our in‑house creative services team and video editor to create organic content in the form of new release content, videos, meme‑formatted images,etc. that drive organic reach and ad revenue on social platforms
• Ideate novel ways to market Gaia content on social media platforms based on shifting user trends and new platform functionalities
• Monitoring macro trends within the social media landscape, developing playbooks and new ways to scale growth
• Conduct post-performance analysis and reports for use at executive level on performance of reach, engagement, revenue and overall performance of social media campaigns across the individual platforms.
• Be an internal advocate and leader for organic social media within the company — why we do things the way we do, what we post and what we don’t, and the brand voice we seek to embody.
