Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to lead the Security Operations Center and drive advanced detection engineering. You will guide incident response, automation, and collaboration with internal and external partners to safeguard Pearson’s assets.

You will refine SOC processes, develop detection capabilities, and ensure compliance with Pearson standards and regulatory requirements, including on-call coverage for 24x7 support.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, incident response and detection engineering (4+ years).
• Hands-on with SOAR, EDR, NDR and SIEM technologies.
• Experience with one or more Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day SOC operations, incident detection, triage, containment and RCA.
• Develop detection logic, playbooks and automated response workflows.
• Continuously improve SOC processes and threat-aligned practices.
• Collaborate with threat intel and internal/external partners.
• Provide executive-level reporting, risk assessments and metrics.
