Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr Silicon Bring-Up and Integration Engineer to bring complex SoCs from pre-silicon to silicon bring-up and system integration.

You will develop low-level C/C++ software, diagnostics, and Python-based test infrastructure to configure, control, exercise, and validate custom silicon, working with ASIC design, verification, firmware, board, RF/DSP, and system teams to support first-silicon bring-up and debugging.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in ASIC/SoC bring-up, post-silicon validation, embedded systems, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with ASIC/SoC bring-up and hardware/software integration.
• Strong C/C++ for low-level hardware control and diagnostics.
• Strong Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Understanding of SoC architecture, memory-mapped registers, interrupts, DMA, clocks/reset.
• Experience with JTAG, SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes, DDR/LPDDR.
• Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies).
• Ability to read schematics and hardware design docs.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status required.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-silicon bring-up, initialization, configuration, and debugging of custom SoCs/ASICs.
• Develop low-level software, firmware, diagnostics, and Python test infra for silicon validation.
• Support pre- and post-silicon bring-up across simulation, emulation, FPGA prototypes, and lab setups.
• Integrate software/firmware with silicon hardware, including clocks, resets, memory interfaces, and high-speed I/O.
• Execute functional, performance, stress, and corner-case tests to validate silicon vs. specs.
• Characterize across voltage, temperature, frequency, modes; assist with silicon maturation.
• Investigate root causes spanning hardware, RTL, firmware, and system level issues.
• Develop automated test infrastructure for DUT config, data collection, and regression tests.
• Collaborate with architecture, verification, firmware, board, and system teams to resolve issues.
