Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr Silicon Bring-Up and Integration Engineer to bring up complex SoCs/ASICs from pre-silicon to system integration. You will develop low-level C/C++ software, diagnostics, and Python-based test infrastructure to configure and validate silicon.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC bring-up, post-silicon validation, embedded systems, silicon integration
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Hands-on experience with ASIC/SoC bring-up, post-silicon validation, or low-level hardware/software integration
• Strong C/C++ programming for low-level hardware control, embedded software, firmware, or silicon diagnostics
• Strong Python scripting for test automation, instrumentation, and data analysis
• Understanding of SoC architecture, memory-mapped registers, interrupts, DMA, clock/reset architecture
• Experience with JTAG, SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes, or DDR/LPDDR
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies
• Proven ability to debug complex hardware/software/system problems
• Ability to read schematics, silicon specs and timing diagrams
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-silicon power-on, initialization, configuration, bring-up and debugging of custom SoCs/ASICs
• Develop C/C++ software, firmware, diagnostics, and Python-based test infra for silicon validation
• Create pre-silicon readiness tools and validation capabilities using simulation, emulation, or FPGA prototypes
• Integrate and debug software with silicon hardware across clocks, resets, memory interfaces, and high-speed interfaces
• Develop and execute functional, performance, stress and corner tests for silicon validation
• Support silicon characterization across voltage, temperature, frequency and process variation
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning hardware, RTL, firmware, boards, and system-level behavior
• Develop automated lab/test infrastructure for DUT configuration and data collection
• Bring up and debug interfaces such as JTAG, SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes, DDR/LPDDR
• Define requirements for evaluation boards, fixtures, and debug capabilities
• Collaborate with ASIC design, verification, firmware, RF/DSP, board, system, and manufacturing teams
• Support silicon maturation from engineering samples to production readiness
