Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr Silicon Bring-Up and Integration Engineer to lead first-silicon bring-up and system integration of complex ASICs/SoCs. You will develop low-level C/C++ software and Python-based test infra, collaborating with ASIC design, verification, firmware, board, RF/DSP, and system teams to enable robust silicon bring-up.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of ASIC/SoC bring-up or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or CS.
• Hands-on bring-up and hardware/software integration.
• Strong C/C++ for low-level hardware control.
• Strong Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Know- how of SoC architectures, registers, DMA, clocks.
• Experience with JTAG, SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes, or DDR/LPDDR.
• Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies.
• Ability to debug across hardware, firmware, software, and system boundaries.
• U.S. citizen/national or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Silicon Bring-Up: first-silicon power-on, initialization, configuration, and debugging.
• Low-Level Silicon Software: develop C/C++ software, firmware, diagnostics, Python tests.
• Pre-Silicon Readiness: develop bring-up software and validation capabilities pre-silicon.
• HW/SW Integration: integrate and debug software with silicon hardware including clocks.
• Post-Silicon Validation: execute functional, performance, stress tests for silicon.
• Silicon Characterization: support tests across voltage, temp, freq, modes.
• Complex Debug: investigate failures across hardware, RTL, firmware, and system.
• Lab Automation: develop test infra for DUT config, data collection, regression tests.
• Interface Bring-Up: bring up JTAG/SPI/I2C/UART/PCIe/Ethernet/SerDes/DDR interfaces.
• Bring-Up Hardware Support: define evaluation boards, fixtures, instrumentation.
• Cross-Functional Integration: collaborate with ASIC/firmware/board/system teams.
• Silicon Maturation: support issues from early samples to production readiness.
