Job summary

Nexiva Inc. is seeking a SOC Analyst (Tier 3) in Washington, DC onsite to monitor, detect, analyze, remediate, and report on cyber events affecting government tech infrastructure.

You will lead a team of SOC Analysts and act as an escalation point, with expertise in logs, alerts, IOC/IOA ingestion, and threat intelligence. The role requires a deep technical background, strong communication, and experience guiding SOC improvements, SOPs, and runbooks in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or related field with extensive incident handling experience.
• Deep understanding of current cyber threats and countermeasures for network-based attacks.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, NAC, DLP, DAM, and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities

• Scrutinize escalated cybersecurity events and provide corrective analysis.
• Analyze large datasets of logs, events, and alerts to identify incidents and recommend remediation.
• Identify, verify, and ingest indicators of compromise into security tools.
• Develop SOPs and Runbooks for SOC Analysts and support incident response.
• Coordinate with Incident Response Lead and IT teams to ensure timely resolution.
