Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior SOC Analyst – Tier 3 to lead cybersecurity event analysis and incident response for a government-facing environment.

You will monitor logs, coordinate with Tier 2, develop runbooks, and drive threat detection and remediation while maintaining compliance and rapid escalation.

This onsite role requires US citizenship/GC and a strong background in SIEM, forensics, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security or related area with minimum five years of operational experience handling cybersecurity incidents.
• Solid understanding of threats and countermeasures such as DDoS, phishing, ransomware, and C2 activity.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, NAC, DLP, DAM, web and email filtering, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint protection.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
• Experience with threat intelligence and incident analysis to detect and mitigate threats.

Responsibilities

• Scrutinize escalated cybersecurity events from Tier 2 analysts and escalate confirmed incidents to the Incident Response Lead.
• Analyze logs and alerts to identify and remediate cybersecurity incidents and provide technical recommendations.
• Proactively search logs, network, and system data to uncover undetected threats.
• Support tool tuning and develop procedures to reduce false positives.
• Ingest indicators of compromise into security tools to protect the DC network.
• Quality-proof advisories and coordinate with staff to resolve incidents.
• Prepare runbooks and SOPs for SOC Analysts and respond to inbound requests.
• Report trends and propose improvements for alerting and incident handling.
