Job summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Tier 3 SOC Analyst to support the District of Columbia OCTO. You will monitor, detect, analyze, remediate, and report on cyber events affecting DC Government infrastructure, serving as the advanced escalation point for Tier 2 analysts.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and threat intelligence, with strong analytical and communication skills to drive incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or related area with 5+ years of operational cybersecurity experience.
• Knowledge of current cyber threats, attacks, and countermeasures (DDoS, phishing, ransomware, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, NAC, DLP, DAM, web/email filtering, vulnerability tools, and endpoint protection.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and networking.
• Experience with threat intelligence, IOCs/IOAs, and open-source sources.
• Ability to multi-task, stay calm under pressure, and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Scrutinize escalated SOC events from Tier 2 and provide corrective analysis.
• Perform in-depth analysis and trend/correlation across large log datasets to identify incidents.
• Proactively search logs to find undetected threats.
• Tune security tools with analysts to reduce false positives.
• Ingest IOCs/IOAs into security tools to protect the network.
• Quality-proof advisories and assessments before release.
• Coordinate with staff to resolve incidents and provide technical support.
• Report recurring problems and propose improvements for alerting and response.
• Develop SOPs and Runbooks for SOC Analysts.
• Respond to inbound requests and coordinate escalations with Incident Response Lead.
