Emergent Professional Resources L.P. (EPR) is seeking a Senior Security Analyst (SOC) to join our Specialty Insurance client in Houston, TX. This contract-to-hire role features a 4-1 hybrid schedule and focuses on investigating security incidents, threat hunting, and improving detection capabilities.

You will work with SIEM platforms, build and tune detection rules, and use Python and PowerShell to automate SOC processes, lead incident response efforts, and mentor junior analysts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a SOC environment.
• 5+ years incident response and threat detection.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Sumo Logic, CrowdStrike) and scripting in PowerShell or Python.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine SIEM rules and alerts
