Job summary

Gartner Information Security is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to strengthen our global SOC. You will independently investigate incidents, improve detection, and help protect Gartner's people, data, and intellectual property across 24x7 operations.

This hands-on role requires strong investigation skills and the ability to mentor others, in a hybrid environment at our Centers of Excellence near Irving, TX and Stamford, CT.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of information security or security operations experience.
• Ability to triage and investigate cybersecurity events in time-sensitive environments.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/XDR, EDR, email security, web proxy and digital forensics.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate complex security incidents from triage to closure.
• Correlate evidence across SIEM/EDR, cloud, email, proxy and telemetry to determine root cause.
• Produce concise incident notes and reports for technical and business stakeholders.
• Develop detection content and playbooks aligned with MITRE ATT&CK and Kill Chain.
• Build tools and automation to reduce repetitive work and speed investigations.
• Proactively hunt for threats across endpoints, networks and cloud.
• Mentor and support other analysts and drive SOC maturity improvements.
