Job summary

Gartner seeks a Security Analyst to strengthen its global Security Operations Center. You will investigate events, support incident response, and help improve detection and response across endpoints, networks and cloud environments.

You'll work in a 24x7 SOC with rotating shifts, collaborating with colleagues worldwide to deliver timely outcomes and continuous security improvements while advancing your skills in a dynamic, security‑first culture.

Qualifications

• At least two years in information security or security operations.
• Experience triaging and investigating cybersecurity events in time-sensitive environments.
• Hands-on with SIEM or XDR for log analysis and detection development.
• Familiar with cloud environments and query languages (SPL/SQL/KQL).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; security certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and investigate security events from initial review to containment and closure.
• Correlate information across SIEM, EDR, cloud, email, proxy, and network telemetry.
• Document investigation notes and share actionable findings with teams.
• Contribute to detection content, playbooks, and MITRE ATT&CK aligned workflows.
• Develop practical tools and automation to speed investigations.
• Identify suspicious behavior and gaps across endpoint, network, and cloud.
• Collaborate with colleagues across geographies for coordinated outcomes.
• Propose practical improvements to SOC processes and maturity.
