Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to strengthen global Security Operations. You will independently handle complex investigations, improve detection and response, and protect Gartner’s people, data, and intellectual property.

You will analyze SIEM, EDR, cloud, email, and network telemetry, develop detection content, and build automation to accelerate investigations. A bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field is preferred and certifications like GCIH/GCFA are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Certifications such as GCIH, GCFA or comparable credentials are advantageous.
• Three to five years of information security or security operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex incidents from triage through containment, remediation, and closure.
• Coordinate with Lead Security Analyst for high-impact events.
• Correlate evidence across SIEM, EDR, cloud, email, proxy, and network telemetry.
• Develop detection content and playbooks aligned with MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Build tools and automation to reduce repetitive work and improve SOC effectiveness.
• Proactively hunt for malicious activity across endpoint, network and cloud environments.
• Provide escalation support and share knowledge to strengthen team capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and SOC maturity.
