Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking an Advanced Groomer to operate heavy grooming equipment and maintain trails. This full-time seasonal role offers $25.00 - $29.00/hour, based on experience, with required third shift work and weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of grooming experience, park building experience and/or winch cat experience.
• Must be at least 18+ years of age.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Skiing or snowboarding experience is a plus.
• Must be able to operate equipment in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operating a vehicle with safety compliance according to policy.
• Grooming Stratton's trails as per the operations plan.
• Responding to weather conditions and grooming impact.
• Communicating with supervisor and crew to report progress and issues.
• Pushing snow in early season and building lift ramps and mazes.
• Deliver propane to outbuildings and assist snowmaking with equipment.
• Support training of Groomer I and II operators.
• Freestyle terrain building and maintenance.
• Maintain grooming logs nightly and coordinate with mechanics on issues.
• Perform nightly equipment checks and clean snow cats.
• Available to work third shift, weekends and holidays.
