Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company at Stratton is seeking an Advanced Groomer for a full-time seasonal role, operating heavy grooming and snow grading equipment with minimal supervision. The position supports foremen and junior operators, training others while maintaining safety and efficiency on the slopes.

The role offers seasonal pay of $25.00–$29.00 per hour, with overtime possibilities and weekends/holidays required. Recruitment will continue through December as snow conditions permit.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of grooming or park-building experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience operating equipment in extreme weather conditions.
• Comfort with third shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Groom Stratton's trails and maintain trail grades.
• Operate grooming equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicate progress and issues to the supervisor and crew.
• Assist with training Groomer I and II operators.
• Support snowmaking and other mountain operations as needed.
