Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an SMT Pick-and-Place Programmer III for its Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico location. This onsite role develops and maintains machine programs, libraries, feeders, and setup data to ensure accurate PCB assembly. You will work with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Materials to resolve issues and support NPI and production transfers.

Requirements include a HS diploma or 2-year degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, plus English/Spanish communication. U.S.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and Spanish communication, written and verbal.
• HS diploma or 2-year postsecondary education with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Create/modify/verify/optimize SMT programs for PCB assemblies.
• Develop and maintain component libraries and feeder setups.
• Verify placement coordinates, orientation, and package data.
• Set up feeder assignments, machine recipes, and production setup data.
• Review BOMs and drawings to resolve discrepancies before production.
• Perform program verification and machine setup for accurate builds.
• Optimize sequences, machine use, setup time, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot placement errors and alignment issues with cross-functional teams.
• Support FAI/NPI and production transfers with accurate SMT programs.
• Maintain revision control and seek waste/time reductions.
