Job summary

Linxon Americas in Puerto Rico is seeking a Subject Matter Expert, Primary Engineering for energy and infrastructure projects. You will develop substation layouts from 765kV to 11kV and lead engineering efforts across multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work setup.

The ideal candidate has a PE or equivalent certification consideration, 3–5+ years in electrical engineering, and fluency in English and Spanish to support projects across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's with 3+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with GIS for outdoor and indoor applications and building infrastructure.
• Proficient with CAD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑voltage designs spanning 765kV to 11kV to strengthen grid reliability.
• Produce buildable layouts and specifications to minimize construction issues and keep procurement on track.
• Apply advanced engineering analysis to ensure long‑term system performance and prevent failures.
• Lead design reviews and provide targeted site support to resolve issues early and avoid rework.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and field teams to ensure seamless design-to-energization execution.
• Present clear, dependable technical solutions to build customer confidence and enable successful project delivery.
