Job summary

LinxonAmericas seeks a Junior SME, Primary Engineering (Electro-Mechanical) for energy and infrastructure projects in Raleigh, NC. You will support HV substation design and delivery, collaborating with engineers and clients to develop safe, reliable solutions across the Americas.

Ideal candidates have a 2–4 year background in substation design, familiarity with IEEE/NEC/NESC standards, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit; GIS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 2–4 years of substation design or high‑voltage project experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit; BIM experience a plus.
• Knowledge of IEEE/NEC/NESC standards and GIS applications.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of high‑voltage substation layouts (11kV–765kV).
• Collaborate with Protection & Control, Civil, Structural, BIM, and Project teams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities for alignment across disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Assist planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain drawings, BOMs, calculations, specs, and reports.
