Job summary

NC SBTDC seeks a senior-level counselor to work directly with aspiring entrepreneurs and small and mid-sized business owners. The counselor provides expert, one-on-one guidance, training, research and technical assistance to help clients address challenges, explore new markets, develop products or technologies and identify growth opportunities.

The position serves businesses in the Elizabeth City area and across an assigned multi-county region, connecting clients with additional SBTDC expertise

Qualifications

• Experience advising entrepreneurs and small to mid-sized businesses.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and market data to guide growth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one business guidance, training, and research to clients.
• Help clients start, manage, and grow their businesses with actionable plans.
• Coordinate with SBTDC resources to address client challenges across a multi-county region.
