Job summary

Toledo Regional Chamber Of Commerce seeks a full-time SBDC Counselor in Toledo, OH to provide confidential, no-cost counseling and referrals to entrepreneurs. You will support feasibility analyses, financial packaging, and business planning while developing a regional network of partners and delivering training.

Responsibilities include counseling, data input into the CRM, and representing the program at events.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a four year college with degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related fields; equivalent combination acceptable
• Ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Ability to travel to annual state and national conferences
• Must complete Certified Business Advisor course within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling for feasibility, financial, regulatory, and operational guidance for starting or expanding a small business
• Develop a resource network for referrals to appropriate resources
• Input counseling data into Center IC CRM system accurately and timely
• Promote the SBDC program and advocate for small business through public presentations
• Develop relationships with SBA, state agencies, banks, chambers of commerce, and public officials
• Attend regional and state meetings and conferences
• Other duties as assigned by VP/SBDC Director or Director of Counseling
