Job summary

The Northern Trust Company in Chicago is seeking a Custom SMA Client Service Specialist to join our Asset Management team. You will collaborate with Product Strategists, Sales, Operations and internal partners to deliver exceptional service to intermediary clients and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

You will manage client accounts, monitor onboarding, handle requests via the Client Advisor Portal, and coordinate across teams to resolve issues, supporting RFPs and continuous process

Qualifications

5+ years of client service experience in wealth management or investment management.
Strong communication (written and verbal) with internal and external clients.
Experience supporting financial advisors and intermediaries is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support assigned client accounts and manage client activities.
Monitor onboarding progress and ensure documentation is complete.
Assist users on the NTAM DI Client Advisor Portal.
Ensure timely resolution of client issues and service requests.
Coordinate with internal teams for information, documentation, and transitions.
Use internal systems for asset values, status updates, and performance metrics.
Escalate complex issues to leadership when needed.
Participate in client conference calls and onboarding events.
