Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Lead to oversee and enhance the speech and language therapy services for children ages 5-21. This leadership role includes collaborating with a team of SLPs to ensure high-quality interventions, evaluations, and family support.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, NY licensure, CCC-SLP preferred, and 5+ years of direct school-based experience with leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active NY state license as SLP; CCC-SLP preferred
• 5+ years of direct experience as a practicing SLP, preferably in a school setting
• Leadership or Supervisory experience required
• Experience mentoring or supervising other SLPs, CFs, or SLPA"s

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech therapy services.
• Mentor and support therapists within the department.
• Oversee therapy documentation and compliance.
• Coordinate services with other departments or school teams.
• Manage caseload assignments and students’ plans of care.
• Assist with department-wide administrative tasks.
• Audit SOAP notes, progress notes, and annual reviews.
