Job summary

Gersh Academy in West Hempstead, NY is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech therapy for students aged 5-21. The role collaborates with multiple disciplines and reviews outcomes to tailor intervention plans.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in SLP, a current NY license, and experience with assessments, IFSP/IEP goals, and transition planning for students with disabilities. Onsite work with daily schedule Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
• Must have current NY license.
• TSSLD certification preferred.
• PROMPT Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities.
• Provide speech and language therapy/evaluations for language, auditory processing disorder, articulation, and voice fluency.
• Work with children who have autism.
• Write evaluations and progress reports.
• Consult and collaborate with parents, schoolteachers, and fellow colleagues.
